‘Good a-- dogs’ track down teen accused of stealing vehicle, assaulting Kershaw Co. deputy
With the help of three K9 officers, a 17-year-old boy who was accused of stealing a vehicle and attacking a deputy has been apprehended by the Kershaw County Sheriff’s Office after a five-hour pursuit.
Officials with the Kershaw County Sheriff’s Office said Tykell Johnson was found with a stolen vehicle near Robinson Town Road at 4 p.m Wednesday. After being approached by a deputy, Johnson attacked the officer, left his shoes and his shirt, and left the scene.
Several deputies, three tracking dogs, and a SLED helicopter were called in to help find Johnson.
A little more than five hours later, Johnson was located by KCSO K9s Kobly, Daisy, and Bella. Johnson told the deputies “Y’all got some good a-- dogs.”
Johnson was taken to the Kershaw County Detention Center.
