RICHMOND COUNTY, Ga. (WRDW/WAGT) -- A former Richmond County school principal will try and make a difference on the county's Board of Education.

Dr. Wayne Frazier will officially announce that he is running for school board District 4 on Tuesday.

Frazier originally retired after 18 years with Richmond County Schools when he was demoted to being a classroom teacher. He was also the subject of controversy when two lawsuits were brought against him for his alleged behavior in 2013.

Frazier was previously principal at Glenn Hills High School and the Bungalow Road Alternative Center.

Barbara Pulliam is the current District 4 board member, and three of the five board seats in the November election are being contested.
