RICHMOND COUNTY, Ga. (WRDW/WAGT) -- The Richmond County Coroner's Office has identified the victim in a fatal crash on Mike Padgett Highway Tuesday afternoon.
Richmond County coroner Mark Bowen says 61-year-old Jack Rhodes Hurd passed away from injuries that he received in the accident.

RICHMOND COUNTY, Ga. (WRDW/WAGT) -- One driver is dead after the coroner said the driver failed to yield for another vehicle going in the opposite direction.
Coroner Mark Bowen said the male victim, currently unidentified, was traveling south near the 4600 block of Mike Padgett Highway near Rollins Road. The victim attempted to turn left into his driveway and turned left in front of a vehicle going north.
The victim died around 4 p.m. at Augusta University Medical Center from injuries sustained in the crash. The accident happened just before 3 p.m.
The victim's name will be released when next of kin is notified.
