UPDATE | 19-year-old dead, mother injured after drive-by shooting

9:55 a.m.
GRANITEVILLE, S.C. (WRDW/WAGT) -- The Aiken County Coroner’s Office tells News 12 a 19-year-old Graniteville man was killed in a drive-by shooting.

19-year-old Johnathan Taylor of Graniteville was pronounced dead at Aiken Regional Medical Center Wednesday night shortly before 11 P.M.

Taylor’s mother, Mary Wilson, was also injured during the shooting and transported to Augusta University Medical Centers, her condition is unknown.

An autopsy will be performed tomorrow in Newberry.

8:45 a.m.

GRANITEVILLE, S.C. (WRDW/WAGT) -- According to ACSO, deputies were called to a residence on Williamson Drive around 8:55 p.m. and found a woman shot in the stomach.

The woman was rushed to a nearby hospital where her condition is not currently known.

Deputies later discovered the second victim, a man who has not yet been identified, was also rushed to the hospital with a gunshot wound to the head before investigators arrived. He was later pronounced dead.

During their preliminary investigation, deputies found multiple rounds struck the residence and several of the cars parked outside the home.

At this time, deputies still do not have a description of the car they say opened fire on the residence.

10:45 p.m.

GRANITEVILLE, S.C. (WRDW/WAGT) -- Deputies say the shooting on Williamson Drive that injured two people was a drive-by shooting. Both victims are parents, but no children were involved.

No word on the victims' condition. Officers are searching nearby woods for suspects and evidence. The road is littered with bullet casings. Deputies kept finding more, expanding the perimeter of the scene.

10:00 p.m.
AIKEN COUNTY, S.C. -- (WRDW/WAGT) Deputies are on the scene after two people were shot on Williamson Drive off Jefferson Davis Highway.

The call came in just before 9:00 p.m.

We have a crew on the scene. The reporter says one person was loaded on a stretcher and taken away by ambulance while he was there. The street is blocked off and several squad cars are on scene. Deputies are searching the area with flashlights.
