AUGUSTA, GA (WRDW/WAGT) -- There are more questions than answers when it comes to a 3-year-old missing persons case that suddenly closed Wednesday when a formerly missing teen was located safely at an Evans business.
The Richmond County Sheriff's Office says Jeremy Summerall went missing back on Nov. 30, 2016.
Summerall's information was placed into the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children where it stayed until recently.
The sheriff's office says they were contacted by NCMEC with new information on the case that Summerall had applied for and received a state ID approximately two months ago.
Deputies eventually located Summerall in good condition working at a local business in Evans after following up on the tip.
Investigators now say the teen had been living safe and sound with family and/or relatives since he went missing in 2016.
