UPDATE | Victim identified in deadly I-20 crash near Grovetown

11:15 a.m.

COLUMBIA COUNTY, Ga. (WRDW/WAGT) -- The coroner has identified the person killed in a crash on I-20 late Sunday night.

25-year-old Michael Lyles, of Gastonia, North Carolina, was pronounced dead after the accident.

His body is being sent to the GBI Crime Lab for an autopsy.

Two other people were in the car at the time of the crash. 18-year-old Austin Dennis was driving, Teresa Dennis was one passenger and Lyles was the second passenger.

Dennis ran off the right side of the road while driving before overcorrecting and driving across both lanes and hitting the median and guardrails.

Both Austin and Teresa Dennis were also taken to the hospital with non-life threatening injuries.

5:00 a.m.

COLUMBIA COUNTY, Ga. (WRDW/WAGT) -- At least one person has died after a late-night crash on I-20.

It happened around 11:50 p.m. on I-20 near exit 194, the exit for Grovetown. The vehicle rolled over and someone was trapped inside at one point.

The coroner's office says someone has died as a result of the crash. That victim's identity has not been released.
