UPDATE | Coroner: Victim not wearing seatbelt; speed factor in Deans Bridge Road crash

RICHMOND COUNTY, Ga. (WRDW/WAGT) -- Richmond County Coroner Mark Bowen tells News 12 that speed was a contributing factor in a one-car accident on Deans Bridge Road on Tuesday afternoon.
According to the Coroner's Office, the accident happened on Deans Bridge Road near the landfill. The victim, 46-year-old Victoria Lisa Ann Welch of Augusta, was traveling north in a 2000 Toyota pickup truck.
Welch reportedly lost control as she traveled in the left northbound lane and crossed into the southbound lanes striking several trees and coming to a rest on the truck's roof.
Welch had to be extricated from the vehicle by emergency responders and was pronounced dead at the scene around 5:17 p.m. The time of the call was 4:52 p.m.
Coroner Mark Bowen said that Welch was not wearing a seatbelt at the time of the crash.
