COLUMBIA COUNTY, Ga. (WRDW/WAGT) – Augusta will be making its Showtime debut in the coming weeks.

Sacha Baron Cohen's new show, Who Is America" airs Sunday on the network. The Borat actor paid a visit to the Garden City in August 2017, and News 12 had the exclusive video.

Local radio show host Austin Rhodes is one of the people who fell victim to the prank show, in which Cohen dressed up in a disguise and conducted a fake interview.

Other notable people who fell victim include Sarah Palin, Dick Cheney and Joe Arpaio.

Vanity Fair has put together a list of some of the people featured on the show, and named them from best to worst.

Rhodes took the top spot for best sport in the pool of those who fell to the prank.

Be sure to watch "Who Is America" on Sunday, July 15th at 10:00 p.m., on Showtime.

COLUMBIA COUNTY, Ga. (WRDW/WAGT) – The voice you could recognize anywhere, except maybe here.

On Tuesday, Sacha Baron Cohen, who you might remember as “Borat,” made a debut in Augusta on The Austin Rhodes Show.

But this time, he wasn’t pretending to be a filmmaker from Kazakhstan.

“Dr. Nira Cain is sitting in studio with us, and I gotta tell you, you look straight out of central casting, you’re a progressive from Portland…” said Rhodes on his show.

“…Are you Fred Armisen in disguise? Because you could be him,” said Rhodes.

“Yup, well…thank you,” quipped Cohen.

Security footage from the Beasley Media Group studios shows a left-wing college professor from Portland, Oregon with long hair and wearing a peasant shirt.

The entire time he and his crew of about 15 people were there, no one knew the man behind the makeup was Sacha Baron Cohen.

“I felt since the election there has been a divide in the United States, and I don’t believe it’s United anymore,” Cohen said on the show.

By the end of the interview, “Dr. Cain” became much more candid.
“But I know the people of Georgia will appreciate the subtext here,” he said, “Why not amend or replace the confederate flag with Paula Deen on spit with an apple in her mouth being roasted like a pig. Why not?”

The crew was adamant that no pictures be taken of “Dr. Cain,” and the security footage News 12 obtained is the only video we have to show you.

And I guess now, we know why.
