UPDATE: 7-year-old hit and killed identified

9:39 p.m.
LANGLEY, S.C. (WRDW/WAGT)-- A 7-year-old is identified as the victim hit and killed in a Langley neighborhood car accident. The coroner's office says Bryson Mikell was riding his bike but when he tried crossing the street, an oncoming car hit him.

The accident happened at 6:35 p.m. on Chaffee Street at Ralph Greene Drive. The Aiken County Coroner says Bryson and his brother were riding their bikes together along Ralph Greene. Bryson did not make it across Chaffee alive, investigators say he died on scene.

An autopsy is scheduled for Tuesday morning in Newberry, SC. The South Carolina Highway Patrol and MAIT is continuing the investigation.

LANGLEY, S.C. (WRDW/WAGT)-- The coroner's office confirms the child who was hit by a car on Dunbar Street has died.

Aiken County deputies on scene say the SCHP MAIT team is on the way to further investigate.

LANGLEY, S.C. (WRDW/WAGT)-- Aiken County officials confirm one child is injured after being hit by a car on Dunbar Street and Ralph Green Drive.

Dispatch tells News 12 the call came in at 6:37 p.m. The accident involves only one vehicle.

South Carolina Highway Patrol troopers, Aiken County deputies, and EMS are all on scene.
