NORTH AUGUSTA, S.C. (WRDW/WAGT) -- The Belvedere Fire Department responded to a fire overnight in North Augusta.

They were called to Tamarack Drive just before 11:30 p.s. Sunday.

The Fire Chief tells News 12 NBC 26 everyone in the house got out safely. Officials say the family had just gotten back home because of power outages.

Fire crews also say the fire was so bad that they had to fight it from the exterior. The house was a loss when fire crews showed up.

The Chief says the family lost their home and car because of the fire.

Fire officials believe the cause of the fire is electrical.
