AUGUSTA, Ga. (WRDW/WAGT) -- Downtown is quickly transforming with lots of new businesses. A new one you may have already noticed is called Augusta & Company.
Inside Augusta & Company, you can find just about anything about the Garden City.
"Everything up front is shop Augusta local," said Jennifer Bowen, Vice President of Destination Development with Augusta CVB.
The story of Augusta is even told on the wall through artwork, from golf carts, to the Godfather of Soul.
"We are getting such fabulous feedback from locals and visitors," said Bowen.
It's a division of the Augusta Convention and Visitors Bureau, but it's part of a re-branding. Jennifer Bowen explained they wanted this space to be more than a visitor's center.
"Locals are saying we're so excited that we finally have a product of this caliber and quality," said Bowen, "They're really proud of what we're seeing here."
It's a one stop shop for local products, artwork and things to do.
"You're able to experience our city by learning a little bit more about local businesses and products that are made," said Bowen.
You can also step into the past through Augusta's history, and of course, remember moments from the Masters.
"Everything back here really says "Augusta" in it in some form or fashion," explained Bowen.
This space is also designed as a gathering place for anyone. Up front, there's also a tasting bar for restaurants to come in and showcase their best stuff.
The location also has a liquor license, so you could see some craft bews being sampled there. Riverwatch Brewery and the Savannah River Brewing Company just had pop-ups at Augusta & Co.
