FRUITA, Colo. (KKCO/KJCT) -- An elderly Fruita, Colorado man doesn't let his age keep him from celebrating and decorating for the Christmas holiday.

Calvin Davis is 91 years old and for the past 17 years, he's set up a Christmas village every single year.

He said he has more than 70 different pieces, which is more than enough to make up an entire village. He has different pieces, from a merry-go-round to a skating rink with kids that move around on it.

He says he finds certain pieces from garage sales, thrift stores and a lot of them even end up as gifts.

"To me, I like to see the children smile when they see this and it's a good thing to get acquainted with people, and they understand what people your age are capable of doing," said Davis.

The reaction from the people is what really makes Davis excited. He says setting everything up takes more than 53 hours. And they'll be up through the New Year at this house.
