AIKEN COUNTY, S.C. (WRDW/WAGT) -- Officials have identified the 4-year-old who died in an afternoon car crash as Kylee Vinson.

The Aiken County Coroner's Office says Kylee died at the scene of the crash that happened on Wagner Road, just east of Burkelo Road.

The child's mother, Dajah Anderson, was driving the car on Wagner Road when she lost control of it. According to investigators, after running off the right side of the road, she re-entered the road crossing into traffic. Then, the car ran off the left side of the road and hit a tree.

Kylee was in the back seat and properly restrained in a car seat at the time of the accident. Anderson and Kylee's twin brother were taken to AUMC with non-life threatening injuries.

The child's body will be sent off for an autopsy in Newberry on Monday.

The South Carolina Highway Patrol and M.A.I.T are continuing the investigation.
