20-year-old killed in nightclub shooting in Augusta

AUGUSTA, Ga. (WRDW/WAGT) -- The Richmond County Sheriff's Office says they are learning more about the shooting that happened at Club Viral in Augusta early Sunday morning.
Deputies say another person was also shot in the same incident. They have identified that person as 27-year-old Dameun Sanders of Wagener.
Deputies also say they have arrested one person in relation to the shooting. That person has been identified as 30-year-old Danell Sanders of Wagener. Danell Sanders has been arrested and charged with murder, aggravated assault and possession of a firearm during a crime. He was also arrested and charged with Possession of MDMA under another case.
This case is still under investigation.
The Richmond County Sheriff’s Office says they are actively working this case and the other fatal shooting on 2300 Blk Winston Way. If you have any information on either case, please contact Inv. AUGUSTA, Ga. (WRDW/WAGT) -- The coroner confirms 20-year-old Traquan Dashawn Salley from Wagener died at Augusta University Medical Center at 2:19 a.m. following a shooting at Club Viral on Laney Walker Blvd.
Dispatch confirms the call came in at 1:48AM Sunday morning.
The Richmond County Sheriff's Office says Salley was shot in the neck and transported himself to the hospital. A possible suspect has been detained.
According to Facebook, Club Viral has only been open since 2018.
An autopsy is scheduled for early next week at the GBI Crime Lab.
