The first shooting event for local Georgia Independent School Association (GISA) schools kicked off at Pinetucky Gun Club on Saturday.

Westminster and Aquinas were among three schools competing, with a total of 45 shooters.

This was the first of eight tournaments for the 2018 season.

Westminster is competing in their third season and coach Breck Brigham says their team grows every year.

"Obviously you can do this for the rest of your life and it's something you can do with everyone in your family. And it is the fastest growing sport in GISA right now", said Brigham.

Scores from shooters at all three schools are located below. Shooters competed in skeet, trap, and sporting clays.

The next GISA event at Pinetucky Gun Club will be September 29th. 100 shooters are currently signed up to participate.
