Chris Still

First Alert Meteorologist
Chris Still

Chris Still joined the First Alert Weather Team in January of 2022, but he is no stranger to the Augusta-Aiken television market. Prior to officially joining our team, he was Chief Meteorologist on NBC 26 from 2011 to 2016 and has filled in numerous times here on WRDW over the past few years. We are happy to have him officially on the team, making the First Alert Weather Team the largest and most experienced weather team in the CSRA.

Chris grew up in the metro Atlanta suburb of Austell, home of Six Flags Over Georgia, where he actually worked on the landscaping crew for a few summers during high school.

He spent the first few years of his career as an air pollution meteorologist for the Alabama Department of Environmental Management, but it was broadcasting that inspired him to battle through all the math and physics classes to earn his meteorology degree from Florida State University's renowned meteorology program, so he left the government sector to begin his television career at WMAZ-TV to our west in Macon and has never looked back.

His television career has taken him all around Georgia and South Carolina over the past 20 plus years, from Macon, to Myrtle Beach, Augusta, Savannah, Greenville-Spartanburg, and now back to Augusta. He holds Seals of Approval from the National Weather Association and the American Meteorological Society. He also won the South Carolina Broadcaster Association's Weathercaster of the Year Award in 2010 and 2011.

In his spare time, you could see Chris running on the Greeneway, watching his son Christian play sports, or hosting open house for his real estate business. A little known fact about Chris is that he had perfect attendance for all twelve years of school!
