Columbia County school board evaluates zoning, relocation plans today

EVANS, Ga. (WRDW/WAGT) - School board leaders from Columbia County will hold a school zoning meeting on Tuesday evening.
Leaders will discuss student relocation plans for the next two school years.
Leaders want to close South Columbia Elementary at the end of the 2023-2024 school year and prepare for the opening of Westmont Elementary School, 4558 Oakley Pirkle Road.
North Columbia Elementary, 2874 Ray Owens Road is set to open for the 2025-2026 school year.
