Body found in deep freezer in Orangeburg County, deputies say
NORWAY, S.C. (WIS) - The Orangeburg County Sheriff’s Office has launched an investigation after a body was found in a deep freezer at a home in Norway.
Officials spoke to eight witnesses who went to the home located on Woodview Circle on Sunday. According to the sheriff’s office, the eight people went to the home after hearing it was haunted. One of the witnesses told deputies he saw the freezer on the back porch of the home and opened it. When he opened it, he saw what he thought was a body wearing blue jeans and socks.
Deputies did see a “badly decomposed human body inside of the freezer,” according to the incident report. The area was later taped off.
At this point, officials have not released an identity for the body. Deputies said that, along with the cause of death and other information, may not be available until later this week following an autopsy.
