Students in K-8 schools, middle and high schools will return on Jan. 12.

The Richmond County School System tells parents it is working closely to monitor coronavirus activity in the community.
They ask if your student has tested positive for coronavirus, has been instructed to quarantine due to COVID-19 exposure, has COVID-19 symptoms, is waiting to be tested for COVID-19 or is awaiting results of a COVID-19 test, please keep them at home and notify the school of their status.
With more than 60 percent of the district’s students returning for face-to-face instruction, the district will continue to require students wear masks on buses, in hallways and other transitions where social distancing may be difficult. The system will also implement assigned seating in classrooms and buses.
The school system also requests parents and staff implement a daily home screening procedure and stay home if they are sick.
