Man wanted for Thomson fatal shooting is in custody
THOMSON, Ga. (WRDW/WAGT) - Thomson police and the Georgia Bureau of Investigation asked for the public’s help to find a murder suspect.
Twaquavious Harris, 20, of Thomson, was wanted on suspicion of felony murder and possession of a firearm during the commission of a crime, according to the Thomson Police Department.
He’s a suspect in a shooting that was reported around 10:30 p.m. Friday in the 100 block of Sills Street, according to police. At the scene, officers found the victim Jesse Brown, 41, of Thomson, had been wounded by a gunshot. He was taken to the University Hospital McDuffie, where he died, police said.
Police reported that Harris was in custody on Jan. 4 around 6:30 p.m.
Meanwhile Brown’s body will be transported to the GBI crime lab in Decatur for an autopsy.
The investigation revealed that Harris shot Brown while at the Sills Street address, police said.
