Severe Weather Possible For The CSRA Sunday

By: NOAA Columbia
By: NOAA Columbia

AS THE COLD FRONT GETS NEARER SUNDAY AFTERNOON UPPER LEVEL
SUPPORT WILL STRENGTHEN TO PRODUCE SHOWERS AND A FEW
THUNDERSTORMS...MAINLY BETWEEN 4PM AND MIDNIGHT. MODELS CONTINUE
TO A POSITIVE TILT TO THE UPPER LEVEL TROUGH BUT BUFKIT INDICATES
GOOD LOW LEVEL SHEAR. THIS MAY INDUCE SOME ROTATION IN UPDRAFTS OF
THUNDERSTORMS. THE COLD FRONT SHOULD MOVE THROUGH THE AREA LATE
SUNDAY NIGHT BUT THE UPPER LEVEL TROUGH WILL NOT CLEAR THE AREA
UNTIL TUESDAY. CLOUDS AND A FEW LIGHT SHOWERS WILL LINGER INTO THE
DAY MONDAY AND MONDAY NIGHT. TEMPS WILL BE CLOSE TO MODEL
CONSENSUS.
