Ga. to get rain, high winds as Lee moves through

ATLANTA (AP) — Weather officials say Georgia will see strong winds and plenty of rain as the remnants of Tropical Storm Lee move through the state.

Mike Leary with the National Weather Service in Peachtree City says most of the state will be under tornado watch starting Monday afternoon. He said the state will get between two and four inches of rain by Tuesday morning.

The system also likely will bring cooler temperatures after weeks of sweltering heat. It is not expected to get hotter than 80 until later in the week.

The weather postponed Sunday Night's NASCAR race at Atlanta Motor Speedway until Tuesday morning.
