MIAMI (AP) -- The National Hurricane Center says the newest
tropical depression is forecast to become a tropical storm as it
drifts southeast in the Atlantic.

A tropical storm watch is in effect for Puerto Rico, the U.S.
Virgin Islands, the British Virgin Islands and the far eastern
portion of the Dominican Republic.

The depression's maximum sustained winds are near 35 mph early
Tuesday. But the hurricane center expects it to become a tropical
storm later in the day.

The tropical depression is centered about 360 miles southwest of
San Juan, Puerto Rico, and moving southeast near 2 mph.

Farther out in the Atlantic, the remnants of what had been
Tropical Storm Nana were expected to continue weakening.
