Thursday night's storms packed a powerful punch, producing hail in some areas and knocking down trees. Lightning lit up the sky across the CSRA for several hours as well. Strong winds were also a problem.
The damage reports are starting to trickle in. News 12 has learned a tree fell in the Highway 421 area near LBC Middle School in Bath. Dispatch says as many as three cars ran into it. Crews are on the scene working to remove it. We have gotten reports of trees down in other areas too around Aiken and Edgefield Counties. Crews say power lines are down in the southern part of Edgefield County as well.
