Severe storms passing through area, taking down trees

AIKEN COUNTY, S.C. -- News 12 has confirmed trees are down in several areas of Aiken County and Richmond County.

The list includes:

  • Atomic Road at Old Jackson Highway -- road shut down (Aiken County)
  • Tree down at Anderson Pond at Chime Bell Church Road (Aiken County)
  • 504 First Street -- road impassable
  • Tree in road on Jackson Road at Jackson City limits
  • Tree in road on Chime Bell Church Road (Aiken County)
  • Tree in road on Jonathan Circle at Mike Padgett Highway (Richmond County)
  • Tree in road on Main Street at Steed Street (Jackson)
  • Power lines down on Jackson Road at Old Jackson Highway in Aiken County
  • Tree in road on Old Jackson Highway at Baker Street (Aiken County)
  • Tree in road on Foreman Street (Jackson)
  • Tree in road on Borroughs Street (Jackson)
  • Tree in road on 1st Street (Jackson)
  • Tree in road on Main Street (Jackson)
  • Tree in road on 2nd Street at Tisdale Street (Jackson)
  • Trees down off Washington Road at Woodbine (Richmond County)
  • Trees down on Old Chapel Ferry Road (Edgefield County)
  • Street lights out on Rosier and Windsor Spring Road (Richmond County)
  • Trees down in front of Apple Valley on Mike Padget Highway (Richmond County)
