Live Blog: Severe storm damage being reported, tornado watch in effect for majority of viewing area

The National Weather Service confirmed a tornado did touch down in Aiken County at 1:07 p.m. Friday afternoon. Read more here.

AUGUSTA, Ga. -- A strong line of storms is moving through our area Friday.

A tornado watch is in effect for Wilkes, Washington, Warren, Richmond, McDuffie, Lincoln, Jefferson, Glascock, Emanuel, Columbia, Burke, Saluda, McCormick, Edgefield, Barnwell, Bamberg, Aiken and Johnson counties until 4 p.m.

-McDuffie County: EMA says they have some downed power lines and trees, but overall they fared well.
-Hancock County: They only had a little hail. No tree or power line issues.
-Taliaferro County: Only a few trees down.
-Washington County: No reports of damage or anything.
-Wilkes County: A lot of rain, thunder and lightning. No damage reported.
-Warren County: Hail in north end of county -- nothing major. Rain.

-Allendale County: They haven't had anything.
-Edgefield County: Rain, thunder, lightning -- no major damage reports.
-McCormick County: No trees down, just rain.

From Richmond County Emergency Management:
-Ackson/Walton Way is barricaded.
-Lakeshore/Milledge is barricaded.

-Berkman/Ingleside/Wheeler is closed.
-The 700 block of Camellia Road has a live wire and two trees down.
-Higland/Walden has traffic lights out.
-Wrightsboro/Damascus has a traffic light out.
-2100 Tudor Drive has power lines and a tree down.
-1600 Dunns Lane has a power line down.
-Seminole/W. Vineland has a tree and a power line down.
-600 Moore Avenue has a power line down.
-1700 Walker Street has a power line down.
-611 Sea Isle Dr. has a power pole down
-3500 block of Monte Carlo Drive. has a tree on a house.
-3000 block of Deans Bridge Road has a transformer on fire.

-Tree down across Braddock Street
-Tree down at Newmantown Road near Woodland
-Tree limbs down on Oregon Trail
-Pea-sized hail in Harlem and Grovetown
-Marble-sized hail at 15th & Walton Way -- Augusta
-Quarter-sized hail at North Leg & Gordon Highway -- Augusta
-Car in ditch submerged in water I-20 mm 194. The vehicle hydroplaned. All safety removed ... no injuries.
-Tree down on County Line road
-Tree on car in Arrowood Trailer Park
-Trampoline blown onto neighbor’s house in Grove Landing / Grovetown
-Tree on power line on Wrightsboro Road -- between Swint and Joy Road. Power outages in that area.
-Tree on power line on Bluegrass Trail. Power outages in that area.
-Tree down on Gordon Highway, almost to Dyess Parkway
-Tree down on Wrightsboro Road near Chamblin Road
-Tree blocking entire road at 226 Old Mill Road in Millbrook Subdivision
-Tree down on Railroad Avenue
-Tree down across Forest Court
-Multiple trees down along Central Avenue in Augusta; one took down power lines. Door blown off a building in that area also.

The line of showers/storms is approaching from the northwest ahead of a cold front. Some of the thunderstorms could pack a punch containing strong winds, heavy rainfall, small hail and isolated tornadoes.
