Scattered thunderstorms leave damage around the CSRA

AUGUSTA, Ga. -- Heavy lightning and rain across the CSRA caused power lines to come down between Newberry and Laurens Street in downtown Aiken.

News 12 put a call into SCE&G; they are not reporting any major outages in the area.

Aiken dispatch is also reporting a tree fell on a house. The incident happened a little after 6:30 a.m. on Smoot Drive. No injuries are being reported at this time.
