AUGUSTA, Ga. (WRDW) -- The water tower near Augusta National (Berckmans Road and Washington Road) gushed water immediately after a 4.1-magnitude earthquake shook the Augusta area.
"[The city of Augusta has] someone on the tower," Disaster Coordinator Mie Lucas said. "The water is coming out of the overflow valve and the tower is safe."
A utilities team checked the more-than-usual leak as it started leaking heavier out of the overflow valve.
