AUGUSTA, GA--Jeanette Wright came to Augusta right after Katrina hit, and tonight she has a message for those trying to ride out Gustav: get out.

Jeanette Wright can walk into her own home today but when Katrina hit, she had nowhere else to go.
When the storm hit just three years ago she was separated from her sons for days.

She says when she went back to board up her house, at certain times she was up to her neck in water. She and her sisters had to flag down a car to stop and help with their mother who was in a wheelchair.

She says the time she spent without a home, she'd never wish that on anyone.

This year with Gustav, she says anyone still in the city needs to get out now while they still have a chance.

"If they want to survive, if they want to live, the must leave. Don't take no chances, don't wait on nobody...Leave," said Jeanette.
