AUGUSTA, Ga. -- All the spices of Christmas made up the fragrance of the Augusta Museum of History lobby.
The annual gingerbread village featured popular monuments around the CSRA such as the Banskia Mansion, the former home to USC Aiken, the Sacred Heart Cultural Center and the Daniel Field Airport.
Area bakeries and anyone with a sweet tooth for gingerbread architecture were invited to display their creative Christmas monuments at the museum.
Local and out-of-state visitors enjoyed the scents and edible replicas that this year’s entries had to offer.
Bids and votes can be placed on the gingerbread buildings until Nov. 27, and the winner will be announced Nov. 28.
