Why shouldn't we ask the State to spend thousands of dollars on our children's safety? We pay the state to do something and keeping our families safe in that areas is worth it to me and others in that area!!

I'm new here, but who the heck is the Mayor of Graniteville?? Is there one? If there is one or a surrogate thereof and he gets a paycheck he sure is getting something for nothing!

i totally agree with school zones. other school zones are posted in Aiken Co but not at Byrd. i see wrecks at that intersection all the time when im headed to work.

My child goes to Byrd and i'm glad this story is finally getting reported. My daughter has been late for school at least twice in the last month because of wrecks at this intersection. I don't want to get a call one day to tell me that's my child and husband and that they didn't make it. We better get some school zone signs and a red light now before it's to late!

Instead of asking the State to spend thousands of dollars.....ask the County and Highway Patrol to start enforcing lower speeds. They are never out here!
