CHARLESTON, S.C.---A South Carolina teen who'd just received her learner's permit died Monday night in a crash on Interstate 26. Police say the girl's Honda Accord collided with a concrete mixer and the truck ended on top the car.

The 15-year old girl's mother also died in the wreck. Her twin sister survived and was taken to the Medical University of South Carolina.

Police say the victims were driving home after getting the drivers permits for the girls. The truck driver was also injured in the crash.

The victims are Christina Akabidavis, 42, and Marcushire Akabidavis, 15, both from North Charleston.

After the impact, the concrete from the truck began to fill the car, and volunteers with shovels helped to clear it out.

The Associated Press and WCSC-TV contributed to this report.
