Bettin' on the Bayou" Casino Night
Feb 22, 2013 6:30 pm - 10:00 pm
Julian Smith Casino
This year's theme for our Casino Night is "Bettin' on the Bayou." It will be a fun night of games, food and supporting a good cause. The event will be held at the lovely Julian Smith Casino.
There will be fourteen gaming tables at the event featuring Craps, Roulette, Blackjack, and Over & Under. In addition to these games will be a 50/50 raffle and another raffle game called "Baubles and Bubbles." Gaming tables are operated by the Sertoma Club of North Augusta.
At the end of the night, your Casino winnings are exchanged for raffle tickets for the grand prizes. Last year, the grand prizes were a kayak, a 40" TV and a Barrow of Fun. More info to follow soon on the grand prizes for this year's event.
In addition to the gaming tables, there will also be a Silent and Live Auction full of locally donated goodies. Some of the neat items are local artworks, gift certificates to local shops, and vacation rentals.
The live auction includes a pottery piece by Joseph Gregory Baynham (circa 1880) and a Fripp Island home rental for the weekend of May 9 to May 12, 2013. The home has 8 bedrooms, five bathrooms and comes with three golf carts for your traveling convenience on the island. For more information on the home, visit www.vrbo.com/14827.
Tickets are $40/person and include your dinner, $20,000 in Casino money, and two drink tickets. The meal for the event is being provided by The Garlic Clove Italian Eatery. Menu items include a chicken and a pork main entree with vegetable sides and a salad. Tickets are available here online or you can pick one (or two or three) up at Parks Pharmacy, Jim Bush Florist and the Arts and Heritage Center.
