Meals From the Mother Land

Feb 2, 2013 5:00 pm - 7:00 pm

Lloyd Kennedy Charter School
The Center for African American History, Art and Culture is celebrating Black History Month by showcasing traditional African dishes. In February guests will enjoy culture and cuisine as the CAAHAC explores Meals from the Motherland. Attendees will feast on a four-course meal with recipes from Ghana and other parts of Africa.
The Center realizes that food is one of the most enjoyable ways to learn about other cultures. So, the Center is excited to offer the community an opportunity to explore traditional African cuisine. During the celebration attendees will be entertained with live African music, history and other traditional festivities.
Please come and join us as we celebrate culture and cuisine during Meals from the Motherland.
