St. Mary's School Bling, Bow-Ties, and Blue Jeans

St. Mary Help of Christians Catholic School will hold its annual spring fundraiser on Friday, April 17 at 7pm to 11pm at the Western Carolina State Fair Grounds. Bling, Bow Ties and Blue Jeans will feature the music of The Palmetto Groove Band and include dinner from Blaz N Buz Catering, cash bar, live and silent auctions, party bidding, corn hole tournaments, and cash prize raffles. It is the perfect way to celebrate the coming of spring! Tickets are $45 each or $80 per couple and can be purchased at Material Things, Threads, or by calling St. Mary’s School at 803-649-2071.

Fire & Iron MC 3RD Annual Poker Run-Benefit for Nedwick Family

Station 115 will hold its Third annual poker run to benefit the Andrew and Amber Nedwick Family. Amber is the wife of a fellow Irmo firefighter, she was involved in a very serious automobile accident on January 14, 2015.
After having surgeries to repair two broken femurs and a broken hand, Amber has managed to work hard through rehab and return home to Andrew and their infant daughter.
All proceeds will be donated to offset medical costs to the family
***You do not have to ride a motorcycle to participate***

Join Rape Crisis and Sexual Assault Services for the 6th Annual Take Back the Day 5K Run/Walk to Prevent Child Abuse and Sexual Violence on Saturday, April 18, 2015. This USATF-certified race course is straight downhill and is Augusta's FASTEST 5K ROUTE! The Take Back the Day 5K is a perfect opportunity for first-time racers and for seasoned runners to achieve a PR. Proceeds benefit the programs of Rape Crisis. Rape Crisis works to build a community free from sexual violence.

The 12th Annual Empty Bowl is a joint fundraiser for both the Golden Harvest Food Bank and the Augusta Jewish Community Center!

The original EMPTY BOWL event served lunch guests a simple meal of soup and bread in a beautifully hand-crafted ceramic bowl made by local students and artists. The guests would then keep the bowl as a reminder of hunger in the world... humble beginnings have grown to a community event helping many each year. This year we celebrate 12 years.
