Michelle Murray / My Finish Line Tour in Augusta
Friday, October 25th 11am-5pm
Charlie Norwood VA Medical Center (CNVAMC) / 950 15th Street / Bldg 801 / Augusta, GA 30904
Nashville Recording Artist Michelle Murray will meet and speak with Veterans on the Spinal Cord Injury Unit (SCIU). Michelle will personally meet our Veterans, hear their stories, sign autographs, and give them a copy of her “My Finish Line” DVD.
Upon leaving the VA Hospital, Michelle will go to Adaptive Driving Solutions located at 3027 Riverwatch Pkwy, Augusta, GA. While there she will perform an intimate acoustic set and hold a “meet and greet” from 2:00 PM until 5:00 PM. The event is free and the public is welcome.
Through her music, Michelle shares the story of former IndyCar driver Sam Schmidt, who became paralyzed in a racing crash in 2000. Since his injury Sam created the Sam Schmidt Paralysis Foundation, which seeks to find a cure for paralysis, and he is a co-owner of IndyCar team Schmidt Peterson.
This stop is part of an ambitious 50 state tour visiting rehabilitation hospitals, veterans’ organizations, and BraunAbility authorized dealerships.
