Columbia County Gifted Program Parent Night

The Columbia County School System is excited to announce the First Annual Gifted Program Parent Night for parents of gifted children in grades K-12. This free event will take place at Evans Elementary School on Thursday, September 19, from 6-8 PM. It’s an opportunity for parents to learn about the unique needs of gifted learners and ways they can help support and nurture their children. A wide variety of sessions will be offered, including Social and Emotional Needs of the Gifted, Gifted Underachievement, ADHD and Giftedness, Helping Your Gifted Child Cope with Perfectionism and Anxiety, Career Exploration, and Challenging Your Gifted Child at Home. Presenters are leaders in the field of education from Duke University’s Talent Identification Program, Columbia County Schools, and the CSRA. Vendors from local organizations and businesses will also be on hand to showcase products and services that support families with gifted children.
