Rally for Recovery

Hope House, Inc., an Augusta non-profit that provides housing and services to women and children, will celebrate National Recovery Month on September 21st with a family friendly event at the Franke Pavilion at Pendleton King Park. Rally for Recovery will bring together the organization’s friends, family, and alumni of Hope House, the treatment staff, those in recovery in the community, and is open to the public. Elicia Taylor, the Clinical Director, and Karen Saltzman, the Executive Director of Hope House, will both speak, as well as individuals in recovery, and friends & family members that have witnessed the successes of treatment and long term recovery.
Hope House, a United Way agency, provides services to women with mental health disorders, including substance use disorders, and its program allows the residents to keep their children with them as they complete their treatment. Each woman leases her own apartment at The Highlands West, the permanent supportive housing facility run by Hope House.
Admission to the event is free, with sponsorships still available. This event is sponsored by the Georgia Council on Substance Abuse with a grant through the Department of Behavioral Health Developmental Disabilities along with sponsorships from local businesses and organizations.
