Do Something Sweet, Donate to the Lions Club
Midland Valley Lions Club will be hosting a Candy Day Donation Drive. The Lions will be handing out their signature mint candies and are asking for donations to help those that are sight and hearing impaired.
Your donation helps to provide funds to operate the SC Lions Mobile Health Screening Unit; helps to fund eye examinations, eye surgeries, and eye glasses for people in need; and helps in the purchase of hearing aids for people in need. The Lions also support an international youth exchange program and supports two camps for blind children in South Carolina.
More than 5,000 Lions Club Members of the State of South Carolina are actively engaged in sight and hearing conservation and aid to the blind and deaf, and are urging our citizens to take care of the precious gifts of sight and hearing, by coming out and supporting the Lions and a great humanitarian service through your generous donations.
Empty Bowl 2013
11:00 am - 3:00 pm
Augusta Jewish Community Center - 898 Weinberger Way • Evans, Georgia • 308
The 12th Annual Empty Bowl is a joint fundraiser for both the Golden Harvest Food Bank and the Augusta Jewish Community Center!
The original EMPTY BOWL event served lunch guests a simple meal of soup and bread in a beautifully hand-crafted ceramic bowl made by local students and artists. The guests would then keep the bowl as a reminder of hunger in the world... humble beginnings have grown to a community event helping many each year. This year we celebrate 12 years.
