Commuter Trains in Augusta
Why is there nothing being done to bring back the train into Augusta? Many people drive to work and other places for entertainment. The commute can be very expensive with the soaring gas prices.
Augusta is the second largest city in Georgia yet the elected officials have no vision in this area. A train system would bring additional revenue to the city by bringing people in and transporting individuals to outside areas.
A train system once existed here in Augusta and many citizens would welcome its return.
