Today's Viewer Voice comes in response to Operation Augusta Ink and the in-depth information that was shared with the media about the undercover operation. Betty writes:

I appreciate the fact that our community needs to be informed about the goings on in making our community safer and that we need to be informed regarding the raids on the gang members and their activities. I just don’t see how providing such significant and detailed information outlining the strategies and operations of the task force is going to make our community safer. It seems to me that providing every detail, i.e., the cameras, the covert operations, the tricks of the trade will substantially decrease our ability to succeed in the future. Rather, it would seem that providing these strategies in such detail would give the advantage to them. With so many details being provided, these people will not be intimidated. They will be empowered and learn to be much more clever in their activities, becoming more of a threat. The local media is bragging on how the agents gained their trust and tricked them. This does not seem like the time to brag. I am not saying that the authorities don’t deserve a tremendous thank you for their hard work, but this type of rhetoric will not reduce the crime rate. It will create a place where egos and control will take on a life of its own.

our experience is that cops will tell half-truths and lies even while under oath just to make a case stick.

You know you people that talk trash about law enforcement are the typical non educated losers that dont have the common sense God gave a jackass. "Unknown" your husband was caught with drugs, get over it and stop making excuses as to why your poor husband got found with drugs. We have better things to do then fake an arrest. The problem you have is that you stupid husband makes it to easy. You also need to learn how to spell. You are the perfect example why people need to stay in school.
