Name: Prentice Elliott
Title: Sports Director
Email Address: prentice.elliott@wrdw.com

Prentice has been Sports Director at News 12 since 2003. He started at WRDW in 2002 as a photographer and reporter before becoming the Weekend Sports Anchor.

He graduated from the University of South Carolina and grew up near the Carolina coast in Florence. Prentice was originally born in Lexington, Kentucky and still feels a fierce allegiance to Wildcat basketball.

Prentice loves golf but is much better at reporting it than playing it, though not for lack of effort. The highlights of his career so far are every Masters tournament he's covered.

In his free time, Prentice can often be found "working at home" as he puts it. To most everyone else, it's called watching sports. Unfortunately, he hasn't found a way to get any extra pay for all the hours he puts in off the clock.

In his time at News 12 his he's received several awards from the Associated Press, including "Best Sportscast." His mother also says he's the best looking sports anchor in Augusta, but don't tell the competition.
