Name: Chris Thomas
Title: City Government Reporter
Email Address: chris.thomas@wrdw.com

Chris Thomas joined WRDW in July 2007 as the city government reporter. He was named Reporter of the Year by the Southern Christian Leadership Conference of the CSRA after just 6 months on the job.

Prior to reporting at News 12, he worked as an Associate Producer in his hometown of Birmingham, Alabama. Much of his journalism training came through internships at Atlanta’s leading news station WSB-TV, and at NBC, ABC, and FOX news affiliates in Birmingham.

Chris also had the distinct pleasure of serving as host of his own talk show on Time Warner cable. The show sought to highlight "What's right with the Birmingham City Schools."

Chris majored in English and graduated with departmental honors from Morehouse College. He is currently an active member of the Augusta chapter of the Morehouse Alumni Association.

Feel free to send him an email, if for no other reason than just to say hello.
