Jeff is the On Your Side reporter for News 12.

It is safe to say this Georgia boy is glad to be back at home in the Peach State. After several years of freezing his extremeties in Iowa and getting pummeled by hurricanes in Florida, he's happy to once again be in the land of sweet tea and boiled peanuts.

Jeff holds a broadcast news degree from the UGA's Grady College of Journalism in 2001 and grew up in Savannah.

When it comes to tv news, Jeff has done a little bit of it all. He's been a reporter, editor, videographer and even an anchor in stations in Mississippi, Iowa and most recently in Fort Myers, FL.

Jeff has loved every minute of his travels around the country. He's experienced more snow than you can shake a stick at, he's seen the unimaginable destruction of hurricanes and tornadoes, interviewed a number of well-known politicians and then there was the story about the 3-legged dog that walked on 2 of those legs.

That was fun for him, but recently he decided now was time to come home. Augusta is the perfect place to do just that. In just 2 hours, he can be home to see family in Savannah, friends in Atlanta and catch a few football games in Athens. Go Dawgs!!

Jeff was lucky to convince News 12 This Morning anchor Meredith Anderson to marry him in 2004 (and she's been regretting it ever since). They have no human children, but they do have a miniature schnauzer that's the size of a miniature schnauzer and a great dane that's the size of a small horse.

In Jeff's free time he enjoys knitting socks for homeless monkeys, building tin can replicas of minor league lacrosse stadiums and sword-swallowing. If you believe a word of that, you're not familiar with Jeff's sense of humor!!

News 12 interns must be seeking a degree in communications or broadcast journalism and have the recommendation of their advisor. All internships are non-paid, so students must show proof they'll receive college credit for their work. Applicants must pass a drug screening.
