Bryan Baker joined WRDW in August 2009 as the News 12 On Your Side Reporter. Bryan comes to the Augusta area from WDHN in Dothan, Alabama, where he worked for more than two years.

While in Dothan, Bryan investigated and broke many stories, including: a funeral home owner being arrested for embezzling from clients, police tasing an innocent autistic man, a retail store kicking out shoppers during a storm, and a law enforcement agency leaving a man in jail for several days without food and water.

He is excited to bring the same investigative spirit and community involvement to the CSRA. Continuing the commitment News 12 has to viewers by asking tough questions and uncovering what's behind a story is important to Bryan.

Though he grew up in Central Florida, Bryan has much family in many parts of Georgia and South Carolina. He looks forward to getting a chance to cover these areas.

Bryan also interned with New York's News 12 Long Island, WESH-TV in Orlando, Florida, and spent nearly a year as a sports correspondent covering Florida State University Athletics for several state of Florida newspapers. While in college at FSU, Bryan was a senior staff writer for the FSView Student Newspaper, reported sports features for a Fox Sports affiliate, and worked with the local PBS station. He looks forward to bringing some ACC flavor into an overwhelmingly SEC newsroom! Go 'Noles!

News 12 interns must be seeking a degree in communications or broadcast journalism and have the recommendation of their advisor. All internships are non-paid, so students must show proof they'll receive college credit for their work. Applicants must pass a drug screening.
