Domonique Benn's last day at News 12 was January 5, 2007. We here at News 12 will miss her, and we wish her the best of luck in her future endeavors.

Farewell Message from Domonique

Dear Colleagues, Family & Friends,

It’s never easy saying goodbye. Thank you for having me as a guest in your homes for over six years. With mixed emotions, I have decided to accept a job as an Anchor/Reporter in Norfolk, Virginia.

I would like for you to know that there were many invaluable opportunities afforded me at News 12. The challenges have been motivational and inspiring. I take pride in knowing that News 12 has prepared me through the years to be confident in my ability to compete on any level of broadcasting. I am proud to have given you honest and unbiased reporting. I am also proud to have been affiliated with News 12.

Through my life, I have been guided by these simple but true words expressed in William Ernest Henley’s poem “Invictus”

“I am the master of my fate: I am the captain of my soul. Knowing that things are possible with God, my goals are obtainable when remaining true to my own convictions.”

Thank you News 12, thank you Augusta, and thank you for the memories.
I love you Augusta!
