Hope Jensen joined the News 12 team in January 2012 as a Multimedia Journalist.

Hope graduated magna cum laude from the University of Georgia’s Honors Program in December 2011 with an A.B.J in Broadcast News and a B.A. in Spanish. While in college, she worked for UGA Newsource, Northeast Georgia’s only television news outlet serving 26 counties. She also interned at WSB-TV Channel in Atlanta for two semesters. During her first semester, she worked in the newsroom with reporters, producers and the news desk. The next semester she was selected to stay on as the investigative intern working under reporter Jodie Fleischer.

During college, Hope served as the president of the Make-A-Wish Foundation at the University of Georgia. Hope loves volunteering and working with kids. During her summer breaks, she coached and coordinated a summer league dive team and during the year, she worked in an after-school program for preschool and elementary school children.

One of Hope’s biggest passions is traveling. While in college she studied abroad in Valencia, Spain, for five months. She speaks fluent Spanish and is currently learning French and Italian. She has had the opportunity to visit over 15 different countries on five continents and can’t wait to visit even more.

Hope grew up in Atlanta. She is a big sports fan and spends her time cheering on the Georgia Bulldogs, the Atlanta Braves and the Atlanta Falcons.

Hope would love to hear from you! Whether it’s breaking news or something that requires digging a little deeper, she wants to know about it. To let her know about something going on in your community, find her on Facebook or email her anytime at hope.jensen@wrdw.com.
