Chad Mills joined the News 12 team in February 2011 as a Multimedia Journalist.
Chad hails from Fort Walton Beach in the Florida Panhandle, but he attended and graduated from the University of Central Florida in Orlando. There he earned a Bachelor of Arts in Radio/Television - Broadcast Journalism with a minor in Political Science.
During his time at UCF, Chad anchored and reported for the university's Knightly News program. He spent a lot of time covering space shuttle and rocket launches at Kennedy Space Center. He also followed stories related to America's shifting space policy and filed reports during a presidential visit to the space center. Aside from space stories, he also followed the tumultuous 2010 Midterm Election across the state of Florida and could frequently be found reporting from Florida's capitol in Tallahassee.
While in Orlando, Chad interned at WFTV Channel 9 Eyewitness News, where his interest in reporting grew to what it is today.
In his spare time, Chad enjoys being outdoors, fishing, and traveling to historical or interesting places. He is happy to call the CSRA his new home, and he looks forward to hearing from you.
