Lindsay's passion for news started at a very young age. She was only in elementary school when she began her journey in the broadcast industry as a host for the morning announcements. She continued broadcasting all throughout high school, hosting the morning announcements and producing news segments that aired on local channels. She even announced an Atlanta Brave's game in seventh grade.
Lindsay Tuman joined the News 12 team in May 2014.
When Lindsay started her "reporting" in elementary school on the morning announcements, she never dreamed where it would take her.
That hobby turned into a passion and later, a career.
Lindsay graduated Cum Laude in 2014 from the University of Georgia as a Digital and Broadcast Journalism major with a minor in Spanish and a certification in writing.
In the summer of 2013, Lindsay got the chance to intern right here at News 12. That summer she learned the ins and outs of the business and the area, and she knew she wanted to work right here.
A year later, Lindsay joined the News 12 team as a reporter. In the summer of 2015, she became the weekend anchor, where she has enjoyed anchoring the 6 and 11 o'clock news on the weekends, while still being able to report, investigate, and be out in the field.
Lindsay has reported breaking news, live coverage on flooding and severe weather, and has done investigations into local education, law enforcement, and even cyber security.
An area that has always interested Lindsay is government and politics. That's why when the chance to become the city government reporter for News 12 NBC 26 became available in the summer of 2016, she jumped at it. She looks forward to continue reporting and digging deeper into Augusta, it's government, and all of the changes coming to the area.
You can always find Lindsay on social media. She's an active 'tweeter,' loves Facebook, and you can catch her "Live" on Facebook and Periscope.
When she's not following the latest news, she's usually reading, sometimes in a hammock outside enjoying nature. Lindsay also loves the Georgia dawgs, her own dog, and trying out a new recipe.
Lindsay would love to hear from you! If you have a story or a tip you would like to share, please contact her on Facebook, Twitter or email at email@example.com.
