ATLANTA (AP) -- Marcus Paige scored all but two of his 19 points in the second half Wednesday, and James Michael McAdoo battled foul trouble to add 17 to lead North Carolina to a 78-65 win over Georgia Tech.
UNC (13-7, 3-4 ACC) pulled steadily away after leading just 26-25 at halftime, in a game played despite Atlanta being hit Tuesday evening by a snow/ice storm that grid-locked much of the region.
Kennedy Meeks scored nine points and grabbed 10 rebounds, helping the Tar Heels to a 45-33 advantage on the glass. Paige had seven of North Carolina's 20 assists, doubling Georgia Tech's total.
The injury-ravaged Yellow Jackets (11-10, 2-6) were led by Trae Golden with 21 points, 15 in the second half.
